Current Assignments

The following activities have either been assigned or will be assigned next week.

Already assigned to A day and B day
Cars on a ramp: Graph the mean time and the mean distance. Due at next class if it hasn't been checked off already.
GIZMO: Force and Fan Carts - SEG only. You do not have to do the AQ. Due at next class if it hasn't been checked off already.
Foldable: Read and take notes on pp. 550 - 551 of GREEN book. Directions are on p. 548. This is for your use. It will not be graded, but it may be used as an admission ticket to some activities or as an exit slip so you have to do it.

Assigned to B on Friday and will be assigned to A on Monday

GIZMO: Measuring Motion - SEG only B day due Tuesday, A day due Wednesday.
Brainpop Video and Quiz: Distance, Rate, and Time.(Available in class or your parents can sign up for a trial period if you want to see it at home.)
Domino Derby: Carry out exploration. I'm hoping that we will be able to videotape some explorations in case someone is absent or out of class for something.

Roller Coaster Update


You should know who will be in your group. You will have the opportunity to begin planning next week. B day will receive their contracts on Tuesday and A day will receive their contracts on Wednesday. Remember, the ROLLERCOASTER Project is 50% of your final exam grade. The EOC is the other 50%. Students who violate the safety contract, endanger the safety or learning opportunities of other students, or do not carry out the duties as agreed upon by the group may have to complete an alternative assignment or exam. This consequence is entirely up to the teacher and may be assigned at any time.
