We are embarking on our latest unit of study: The Bridge to High School. In this unit you will get deeper into Chemistry in preparation for high school sciences. Most of the work will be in class. You may have to finish some assignments for Home Learning. Be prepared for a check up at any time. Those assessments will check your understanding and progress. Right now, most classes have learned about Lewis Diagrams of the first 20 elements and will also be digging deeper into what atoms are in chemical formulas. This is in preparation for balancing chemical equations.
Just a reminder. There will be no Bonus Activities available this term. All assignments are expected to be submitted on time. Although there is no EOC for 8th grade science there will be a challenging STEAM project that will serve as our 9 week exam. The STEAM unit follows the Bridge to Chemistry. It promises to be quite interesting.
