All of the Station Work for the Universe is due next week. A day will finish checking in their work on Wednesday. B day students will check work in on Thursday (due to NAEP and Selma trip). 5B will debrief Cosmic Survey on Tuesday so come prepared for that activity in class.
What Station work?
Achieve 3000: Milky Ways in the Making and Hubble (or the other one from last week).
Cosmic Survey: Classes that debriefed should have the questions completed.
H-R Graphing: Follow all of the directions carefully.
Expanding Universe Activity. Be sure you have your data in your ISN and that you answered the question.
Gizmo: Star Spectra- SEG and AQ. No typed responses accepted.

FCAT EXPLORER due March 4.
You must finish at least 66% of your ship by Wednesday, March 4. That's a total of about 170 questions. A few students have completed this so they can keep working toward total completion. Those of you that only finished a few have much more work to accomplish. Remember, it's only the first go that counts for your grade. The Explorer Report that you can look at combines all the goes into one grade. I don't. GO for the CHEESE on every one.
Final Due date for all FCAT EXPLORER is March 25.

Due to the number of students who have not completed the FCAT Lessons I have agreed to take them late, late one last time. I will also accept the H-R Gizmo for late points, This is a one time offer.
Bday must submit the assignments no later than Monday, 2/23.
A day must submit the assignments no later than Tuesday, 2/24.
FCAT Explorer Assignments are due. You must finish 33% of the ship assignment. The due dates are

Today was the last day to submit any assignment from before February 6, 2015
I am no longer accepting assignments that were due prior to 02/06/2015.
FCAT LESSONS were due 02/06. Late grades were accepted for A day until today. Late grades for Bday will be accepted tomorrow. ANYONE in A or B day who completes the work after this generous late date will be penalized 20% for each late lesson. The deadline is Friday morning, 2/13.

As of 2/5/15
At this time all students have had opportunities to submit all assignments that were made either before or during my absence. Any student absent on Monday or Tuesday was asked for assignments on Wednesday or Thursday. The next time assignments will be checked will be on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Star Graphing assignment is due that day. Anyone who was absent on Thursday or Wednesday can come to my room after lunch and before 8th period tomorrow (Friday).
Late assignments (see grade portal for a complete listing) will be accepted for partial credit on Tuesday and Wednesday also. No more late assignments will be accepted after these two days except for students who are absent when assignments are checked.

Requirements: Participate for at least one hour. Write a paragraph explaining where you were and what you did. Add a selfie. Each hour is worth 2 bonus points with a maximum of 6 points possible. If you win the prize for the largest potato found you can earn 2 more points.
Play it safe. Wear gloves, close toed shoes, and dress for the weather.
